    Joe, that is one big beetle. Aren't scarab beetles those guys that were eating people in the first Mummy picture, the Brendan Fraser series.

    I know the African kind feed on dung, or at least the vegetable matter in dung. I wonder what this guy feeds his?

    I believe those were scarab beetles in The Mummy. I just read today that
    Fraser is making a sequel to another of his movies, Journey to the Center of
    the Earth. I watched about 5 minutes of the first one and didn't like it at
    all.

    I remember in Planet Earth seeing a gigantic pile of bat dung covered with
    beetles. That's an image that doesn't leave your head right away!
