Thanks to my Disqus system, I think I now have the start of a really good commenting system including the ability to have your comments show up on Facebook (if you’re logged in via your FB account). I was a little annoyed at first because this wasn’t working, but it turned out to be completely my fault, go figure! :)
They made a short note about it here. They call it a small note, but it seems like a big feature to me.
Now I’m just dying for email updates when there is a new comment added to a post (for users that have already commented on that post) and I’ll be really happy! But of course for what I’m paying them, they can’t be beat! :)

It willoe great to have Christa home….life quality should improvew for you. Katie's birthday is 3/16 and we will be going out for a drink on St Pat day. …She will be 21….Holy Hell. Take care…kjeep me up to date.
FYI…Connie is going in the Hospital for a knee operation tommorrow and she will be on crutches for a couple weeks…between my breathing and her walking it should be fun.
Going out and drinking with your granddaughter huh? There has to be something supremely pleasing and creepy at the same time about that. I'll be sure and imbibe for you in absentia.
Yeah, you guys are going to make quite the pair!
Being able to have a comment appear on several social networks with one post can save time.
I have a FB account but almost never post to it. I find Twitter easier to comment on because they are short messeges. Blog entries and comments take the longest, which is why I can usually only keep up with one or the other.
Yeah, it certainly is tricky. I use Twitter (which I think is how I found
you in the first place) which in turn posts to my website sidebar and
updates my Facebook status. I also have all my new posts show up in
Facebook. Basically, I just try and use FB to funnel people to my website.
I put so much time into it, I figure I might as well!
I use the Disqus blog commenting system. It's super easy to drop into a WP
install and you get a lot of cool features along with it. But it is
definitely the case that trying to keep up with all the different
sites/services is a pain. I try to consolidate when I can.
Just dropped by to say Hi and i liked your comments at EdfromCT's blog :-)
Agree it could be nice to have a simple way to keep track of all comments, but as with most of life – making things we want easier can also make things we don't want easier too – it requires 'balance' – a very important concept for both science and religion :-)
If we had an easy way of tracking every comment we make then so could those who might have their own agenda's to do so !

Hey love, thanks for stopping by.
As much as I hate to admit it, I am blissfully blind when it comes to a lot
of these privacy concerns. I generally assume that everyone can see
anything I do online (well… most anything!). With privacy concerns, I
normally don't mind giving up the rights that I don't think we have in the
first place, but I assume that they will not be used incorrectly on the
other end. My basic view is that I don't mind people watching me in public
spaces, but I don't want them misusing it.
What I think is really interesting along these lines is the amount of data
that we freely give up of our free will these days. I wrote about it
earlier here. http://joeflasher.com/wordpress/?p=735
Thanks again for stopping by!
