Christa has signed up to do the Mt. Evans Ascent in late June, which basically means she runs 14 miles up a mountain! Oh the crazy things kids do… This means we need to train (but watch it here, I am not doing the race…)! So we headed up to Mt. Evans yesterday with Perrin to get some quality mountain time in. It’s nice right now because the road is clear of any snow but is still closed to traffic. It’s a very surreal feeling to be heading into such a beautiful landscape on a road but have no cars around. Below are some pictures from the trip.
Near the end, I stopped and Christa kept running up the mountain. I snapped this picture while I was waiting for her to come back down. It’s a panorama that turned out really nicely! I now use it as my desktop wallpaper (on the three monitor setup I am now rocking).
