Christa was part of the Mt. Evans Ascent this morning… bright and early this morning! ;) I headed up to the very top to check out the view, but as you can see from the pictures (after the break), there wasn’t too much of a view. It was really cold and windy and not really fun at all.
I ate last night’s leftover Indian food for breakfast waiting at the car. As much as I will probably complain about it, it really was a delicious way to start the morning. After I tried to sleep in the car for a little while, I started walking down the mountain (opposite flow of the race) to find Christa in the pack. I passed tons of people! I don’t know why these races are so hard, I didn’t even train and I was able to pass a lot of people! When I found Christa, we bounded to the end together :) Well, I bounded, she had just run 9 miles uphill.
Take a look after the break for the pictures.
