Me and a friend headed out for a motorcycle ride today. It was a bit overcast in Boulder but not too bad. Rule of thumb… if it’s not nice in Boulder, it’s not going to be nice in the mountains! Once we hit Winter Park, it was freezing! I am going to say it was down in the 40’s or so and I don’t think I am exaggerating. Of course it didn’t help that I didn’t have my jacket liner in. It was raining as well which didn’t help anything. My gloves got wet from wiping off my helmet shield so much.
Once we hit the Alpine Visitors Center in the park, things were a lot better. It wasn’t raining anymore and I started to dry out. By the time we were back down into Lyons, it was warming up quite a bit. Boulder was all nice and warm and erased the memories of the coldness. All in all, it was a nice ride but it didn’t start out the best.
