Well that didn’t take very long. My iPhone recently broke and I just figured I’d do without a phone until the new iPhone came out (probably sometime in June). It seemed like a good idea at the time. I don’t actually use the phone part of my iPhone alot, but rather use it as [...] Man, I hate when this happens! I totally had this great idea, let me explain it to you. It was going to be an iPhone application. Basically, when you went to a place where someone was using iTunes to play out there music, your iPhone would communicate with the computer. Your iPhone (if you [...] I was at a party recently (way to graduate Sarah!) and had a bit of an anxious moment. I was just standing around talking with some people and I overheard two girls say that they needed to look up the bus schedules so they could get home. Being ever gallant and coming to the rescue, I whipped out my new-ish iPhone and handed it over to them. The reason I did this was two-fold I suppose. The first was because I am sometimes a genuinely nice person. The second was because I guess, deep down, I wanted to show of my new toy and impress people. I payed all the money for the iPhone, why shouldn’t everyone else see it? Here is the key point though that I think shows that my real motive was to show off the phone. Instead of finding the information that they wanted, instead I gave the phone to them so they could play with it. And indeed they were both impressed when they saw it. I believe they may have even oohhh’d and awww’d. Then I heard the one girl say, “Oh, it’s an iPhone, how do you use these things?” How do you use these things I though??!! Who doesn’t know how to use an iPhone?! I already had the bus system page open for them, really… Ok, it is a little tricky at first, I admit. But I think one of the advantages of the iPhone is that you can pick up on how to use it pretty quickly. But I digress, this isn’t what I wanted to talk about.
